Kindled Minds- Navkis Educational Centre

Rotary clubs energize and inspires young leaders through service and encourage them to become responsible global citizens through a forum called Interact clubs.

Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self and find out how serious leadership can be fun.

Benefits of Interact club include connect with leaders in your community and around the world to:

  •  Take action to make a difference in your school and community
  • Discover new cultures and promote international understanding
  • Become a leader in your school and community
  • Have fun and make new friends from around the world

Interact clubs organize at least two projects every year, one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Rotary club sponsors mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.

The Interact Club here at Navkis Educational Centre, ‘Kindled Minds’, does just that and aims at helping society become a better place.

Our main goals this year, with the pandemic still raging on, are to create an atmosphere of positivity and make students employ their skills constructively rather than being idle at home.

Competitions are organised based on many themes, some of which are associated with popular festivals during the month in question. Some of the events which have already been concluded are the calligraphy competition, which was held live on Zoom, an essay writing competition and an e-poster competition. There are many other exciting events and shows planned.

The club also has a blog page of its own- http://www.kindledmindsnec.blogspot.com/ which helps all the students be involved with the activities of the club. Upcoming events are put up on the blog page with attractive posters asking for entries and setting the down rules. Once the competitions are over, the best in each category is displayed on the page allowing the students to take pride in their work. On the occasion of World Mental Health Day on October 10, a poster drawing attention to the various factors contributing to teen depression was posted on the blog.

President Pragya Prachi Bharath, Secretary Shruthi R Alse and Treasurer Amoolya A Samprathi are ably helped by the other office bearers in carrying out their duties efficiently and smoothly.
