Investiture Ceremony 2023-24

"Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life". This momentous day of 30th June 2023 dawned to bestow responsibilities on the deserving young talents of the school to lead their school from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence. The Investiture Ceremony of Navkis Educational Centre, Bangalore for the academic session 2023-24 was held on the 30th of June 2023. The school held the ceremony with great enthusiasm. It was the occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of being an important and integral part of the administrative body, ‘Student Council’ is formed every year. The House Mistresses, Assistant House Mistresses, Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl, the elected House Captains, Vice-Captains and Student Council Members were conferred with badges and sashes by our honourable Principal Ms. Seema Gupta and the other coordinators. The newly elected student council members pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honour and glory of the institution. A beautiful motivational song presented by the students of the choir group of our school added more colours to the entire show. The programme ended with an inspirational speech by our beloved Principal followed by the National Anthem.

National Youth Day 2024

Title: National Youth Day Events Energize the Air with Spirit of Fitness As a part of the National Youth Day 2024, Omkar meditation was performed by the entire school. Students gave a speech on the importance of Yoga and Meditation in everyday life. A marathon run of 3kms was also held for the students of grade 6 to 10 and 12 on 20 January 2024, Saturday. HMT Ground turned into a buzzing hub of enthusiasm and energy as students, teachers, and staff came together to celebrate the spirit of fitness and camaraderie. Under the azure sky, participants donned their running shoes and gathered at the starting line ie; at the HMT Ground. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the school's principal waved the flag, signaling the commencement of the marathon. Students from various grades showcased their athletic prowess, embodying the school's commitment to holistic development. Parent volunteers and teachers lined the route, cheering on the participants. The local traffic police patrolled the route for smooth flow of traffic and the marathon run. A vibrant display of school colors added to the festive ambience, creating a memorable visual spectacle. As the runners approached the finish line, a surge of pride and accomplishment filled the air. The top finishers were celebrated, receiving medals as a token of recognition for their exceptional performance. However, the emphasis was not solely on competition; the event emphasized the importance of participation and personal achievement. Beyond the physical aspect, the marathon fostered a sense of community and teamwork.

INSIGHTS- NECON - Model United Nations (MUN)

INSIGHTS- NECON Welcome to Insights - A Model United Nations "If you are born with wings. Don't crawl. Learn to use them to fly and fly." - A. P. J Abdul Kalam Keeping this perspective in mind, Navkis Educational Center launched a two-days event ‘INSIGHTS 2022’ - NECON’s first Model United Nations (MUN) on 4 th and 5 th November 2022, in which the students from grades VIII to XII participated. They represented as delegates representing various countries in four committees where they debated and deliberated on different agendas. 1. United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) Agenda - Human rights violations in the Middle East and its power struggle due to religious and territorial disputes. 2. The United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW) Agenda - Abortion rights with special emphasis on developing countries. 3. All India Political Party Meet (AIPPM) Agenda - India's education system: Made to serve, not to lead. 4. The United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development (UNCSTD) Agenda - Law and regulation for future space travel. And 5. International Press (IP) Agenda- Photography and Journalism The chief guest at the opening ceremony was Ms. Seema Gupta, the honourable Principal (NEC) who encouraged the delegates through her insightful and motivational speech. The Executive Board comprised of experienced faculties from relevant departments and MUN experienced students who thoroughly engaged the delegates in the proceeding of the committees. Two days of deliberation convinced into the passing of the resolution. Twelve best delegates were chosen on the basis of their skills in diplomacy, decision making and problem solving. In MUN, students will gain a better understanding of the inner workings of the United Nations and build the above-mentioned skills. This event proved to be a great opportunity to improve leadership and communication skills in students and provided exposure towards today's changing world as well.
